Dancing to connect

These moments of quarantine and social distancing due to the COVID-19 can feel scary, uncertain, frustrating, and isolating. Having to stay at home and spending many hours with your electronic devices to “connect” with the rest of the world doesn’t feel like much of a connection sometimes.

It can be quite hard to readjust your routines and settle in at home, work all day from there, and have all your life at your house or apartment. Not being able to go out much can create some stressful moments.

At this point in time, the best thing we can do is staying at home to help prevent the spread of the virus. That’s why we’ve got to find those indoor activities and things that create passion and creativity in us and do more of it to help our selves stay strong and positive, and inspire others to do the same.

To pass this bitter time, instead, I use dance to connect with my self to feel and express with my body without any restrictions. I do this in any place in the house including the kitchen, living room, dining room, even the basement. Wherever possible. And I just practice letting my stresses and fears go and enjoy the moment because, the truth is, we are uncertain of how long this is gonna last.

So I invite you to turn up the volume, dance and enjoy!
