B-Unbound

PVD Young Makers/FabNewport have developed a relationship as a Beta partner for a new mentoring platform developed by B-Unbound (a Big Picture Learning initiative), a platform connecting youth to a range of supportive adults/professionals, expanding opportunities to make industry connections and grow social capital. This platform serves as the repository of supportive adults willing to connect with students in a range of ways from a quick conversation about their profession or area of expertise to a more indepth mentoring type relationship. Access to these resources are facilitated by the FabNewport/PVD Young Makers team continuously. Additionally, students are  paired with a supportive adult in their career area of interest whom they also meet with on regular intervals to support industry knowledge and growth.
